What About KIDS?
Kids hang out with the adults for the first half of the service, engaged in worship, giving, the option to hug or handshake new friends, and praying for others. After that, they'll slip down the hallway (read: run and jump and skip their way to their classrooms, leaving parents in the dust) to their respective classrooms.

Please be sure to check your kids in when you arrive -- we take their safety VERY seriously around here! (More details on the importance of safety for our kids can be found in the "Ministry to Children" policy.

Mark 9:36-37 NIV states, “He took a little child and had him stand among them. Taking him in his arms, he said to them, ‘Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.’”

Of all the joys and treasures that we can have, our children are among the most precious!  Our goal is to teach our children about Jesus through wonder and joy. Showing them who He is, and letting them know that He loves them!  We believe that adults and children should worship together in our Sunday morning service. We try to make it engaging for kids by including "motions" to encourage movement and even "maracas" to encourage musical participation for your kids!

After our greeting time, children under the age of 10 will be dismissed to go to their own age-appropriate classes. Here, the children will learn about Jesus and His Word in a lesson designed for them, which includes Scripture, an activity, and even the chance to learn about missions work in other countries.

The goal of these fun classes is to teach the children of New Life Wellington about Jesus Christ in a way that is understandable and applicable to them. Our church is learning a whole new way of doing this; join us as we try out new ways to engage kids and help them learn about Jesus!
